Sleep issues can vary at early age. Babies will sleep at various time for varying length and its inevitable that it will not synchronise with your own time.
There are no medicines for babies or children for sleep. There are plenty of advices available which is hard work and you will have to accept some hard work.
Sleep medicines are not made for children. Certain underlying conditions can affect sleep, it will be dealt by the specialist.
Babies and children might not sleep as long or at a time of your choosing. Some people do sleep less than others and that’s perfectly fine.
If it persists then you should start with 30 minutes winding down time to slow down activities, no toys or electronics.
Read them a story or sing a lullaby, with any comforter toy for your child if they have one.
Repeat every day non-stop, do not make exemptions, if you break your own rule so will the children.
As all children are unique, so are their sleep cycles. Some will sleep longer and deeper while others could function really well with less sleep.
Do not lose sight of the time they are actually awake, are they learning everything, do they have a hobby, what do they talk about ?
Sleeplessness associated with other diagnosed condition in children will be dealt by specialist.
