You should inform your GP or Midwife as soon as you are pregnant.
As you progress through your pregnancy as the baby develops, equally the health need for yourself and the baby will also develop.
Which is why there are different checks and scans at different times.
Your midwife will inform you about all appointments early on in pregnancy and you can discuss the scheduled procedures.

Appointments can be at your home, at your GP surgery or at a hospital depending on the test, scan or check.
Blood pressure check can just be at your home but ultra sound machines are usually at a hospital – so that will be at a hospital.
You can expect written guidance throughout pregnancy.
