Blood Pressure

Blood Pressure
High Blood pressure is far more common than Low Blood pressure.
Blood Pressure has to remain higher than accepted normal for it to become a clinical condition. Temporary rise in blood pressure due to any reason is not a clinical condition.
People with family history of heart condition and/or raised blood pressure should take measures to reduce the extent of high blood pressure – unfortunately it cannot be completely avoided.

Understanding
There are clinical thresholds for Blood Pressure after which your GP will introduce or modify your existing medicines to control high blood pressure.
The medicines keep a lid on pressure, it cannot be treated. In other words if you stop medicine your blood pressure will raise again.
This is very annoying however there are other steps you can take to control high blood pressure which could possibly reduce the medicines you have to take.
