Baby Skin

27 January 2020/in Baby /by PersonalChemist

Baby Skin

Everything is pretty baby, including their baby skin. As babies grows, their bodies overtime get bigger so does their skin.

In some ways baby skin is more exposed to sudden change in temperature, clothing or contact and hydration or moisture.

Usual skin has some layer of moisture to prevent dryness, its almost always not present in baby skin – definitely not as much as an adult.

Understanding

Some babies will be more prone to skin conditions – specially where one or both parents have dry skin conditions in their families.

Daily moisturising and fewer baths definitely help, although choosing the right moisturiser can be difficult and sometimes its just a case of trial and error.

After everything if things arent improving and you need help choosing the right skin care treatment, you get in touch with us.

Take Action

You can take a photo of your baby’s affected skin or particular skin patches or we can do a direct video call to your baby, whichever is easier for the littlen.

You will have expert independent consultation, you will have an initial diagnosis, our Pharmacists will ask if you already have any medicines at the home so you do not need to buy anything unknowingly.

Where needed we will refer you to another healthcare professional and provide a referral note so you will not have to repeat everything again.
