Sadly Allergy has no starting age and by its very definition it always catches everyone out.

Same happens to babies and children. In a way it can be easier to find out the allergen in babies and children since they are exposed to fewer things compared to adults.

Finding the exact allergen is very helpful but until then steps can be taken to minimise the effect of existing allergic reaction.

Understanding

Allergic reactions do manifest on skin – starting with an itch or spots which make skin sore.

Since itching itself is a body’s response the affected area gets more sore and after a while its difficult to tell what made the skin worse.

Depending on the age of your baby/child some medicines are available to control allergic reaction.

Soothing Creams are usually fine with any age. Medicinal Creams have age restrictions

Take Action

You can take a photo of your baby’s affected skin or particular skin patches or we can do a direct video call to your baby, whichever is easier for the littlen.

You will have expert independent consultation, you will have an initial diagnosis, our Pharmacists will ask if you already have any medicines at the home so you do not need to buy anything unknowingly.

Where needed we will refer you to another healthcare professional and provide a referral note so you will not have to repeat everything again.
